Our Story
Unique Wiring Counselling
As sisters, co-founders, and therapists, we’ve experienced first-hand how different every journey can be. From parenting and caring roles to living with long-term health conditions and neurodivergence, our own family experiences have shaped who we are — and how we support others.
Within our lives, we have direct experience of dyslexia, neurodivergence, Type 1 Diabetes, and mental health challenges.
These experiences have taught us resilience, empathy, and the importance of creating a safe, adaptable space where clients feel understood.
We also know what it feels like to be unheard, unseen, or misunderstood — and that’s why Unique Wiring Counselling in Lancashire was created. Our vision is to provide the kind of inclusive, practical, and compassionate counselling we wished had been available to us.
Meet the Co-Founders
Lesley – CBT Therapist | EMDR & EFT Practitioner
As a qualified CBT therapist, I specialise in helping people process difficult emotions, overcome obstacles, and develop healthier coping strategies. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and supported by specialist training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). This combination allows me to integrate practical tools with deeper emotional processing, so clients can experience both immediate relief and long-term growth.
My aim is to support people in creating meaningful and lasting change, helping them live with greater balance, resilience, and confidence. Living with dyslexia and a long-term health condition, while caring for loved ones with disabilities, has shaped the way I connect with others. These experiences have deepened my empathy and inspire me to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly supported.

Meet the Co-Founders

Leann – Integrative Counsellor | EFT Practitioner
As a qualified integrative counsellor,
I adapt therapy to each client’s unique needs, drawing on a range of approaches to provide a flexible and supportive space. My professional development continues through my BA (Hons) in Counselling, where I am strengthening my knowledge and practice.I have also undertaken specialist training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and trauma-focused therapy, which enables me to work creatively and sensitively with clients, particularly around trauma and emotional wellbeing. My aim is to help people feel safe, understood, and supported as they explore their challenges and move forward in life. Alongside my training, I bring lived experience as someone who is dyslexic, a single parent, and an unpaid carer for family members with health conditions and disabilities. These experiences have strengthened my compassion, resilience, and authenticity, allowing me to build genuine connections with the people I work with.
